Allan Kapoor graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor of Arts in Global & International Studies and a minor Professional Writing for Business Communication.
While at UCSB
Allan’s background in Global Studies turned his attention to positive international development. His interest increased after he studied abroad in New Delhi, during his junior year. He then interned for the Eleos Foundation, a non-profit that makes social impact investments in developing countries, and Green2Gold, a sustainable technology and business incubator. Allan found that both organizations focused on mobilizing private capital and investment to promote positive change.
Allan also conducted independent academic research comparing policies of various developing economies, was an active member of the UCSB chapter of United Students Against Sweatshops, and worked in the Recreational Sports Department. During his senior year he served as the Treasurer of the UCSB Waterski Team.
After Graduating
Allan plans to live, work, and adventure abroad until he discovers a path exciting enough to convince him to return to school. Currently, he is considering economic development policy or urban planning for developing nations. His first destination abroad will be Thailand, where he will teach English for 10 months. Who knows what will happen next!
